Hundreds of Bangladeshis don dey flee Lebanon as Israeli air strikes continue to intensify across the country. The situation dey worsen since Israel start its military campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, which include heavy air strikes and ground invasions.
According to reports, many migrant workers, including those from Bangladesh, find themselves stranded and abandoned by their employers who have fled for safety. These workers no get the means to pay for their return journey or even get the necessary authorization to leave the country.
The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which has been ongoing for several weeks, has led to significant displacement and humanitarian crises. Israeli strikes have hit various parts of Lebanon, including Beirut and southern Lebanon, forcing tens of thousands of people to flee their homes.
The Lebanese health ministry report say that the death toll from Israeli strikes on Monday night near Hariri Hospital in Beirut has climbed to 13. Additionally, the war in Gaza, which started after a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, has resulted in over 42,000 Palestinian deaths and widespread destruction.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently visit Israel to push for a ceasefire, but diplomatic efforts so far no yield significant results. The situation remain volatile, with fears of a larger regional conflict escalating.
