For interview wey he do with News Agency of Nigeria, Rev. Hayab talk say, ‘Ill-gotten money no fit make you proper rich.’ Chai! Na true talk be dat o! E come preach say the Bible no dey against hustle, but e dey warn say love for money na im be the root of all evil. So, if you dey do Yahoo, you better find your way come out am before e jam you.
He talk say as more of our youths dey enter this kind bad thing, na im make dem go begin use dem money to do tins wey dey cause pain to others. He don eye the matter well, talk say this gbege fit lead to abduction of girls and even killing. Rev. Hayab vex say, ‘When you begin to kill for money, e mean say you don lose your humanity.’ Abeg, where we go find common sense wey dey tell dem say this life no be scam?
He also drop the gists on how plenty parents don forget their responsibilities. ‘Parental discipline don fall apart,’ he talk. ‘Some parents dey even proud as e be say their pikin dey do this Yahoo wahala.’ Ironically, na dem go form the future leaders. Imagine say una child wey dey scam today go one day dey sit for political position, chai, na disaster be dat!
Rev. Hayab, wey dey also run Global Peace Foundation, dey work hard to change this narrative. Dem dey promote girl-child education so that the next generation no go fall into this kind of trap. E say, ‘If we fit train these girls well, dem go be beta mothers wey go raise responsible pikin.’ How you see that one?
