Na on Wednesday for Lafia, Nasarawa State, a big event happen wey dey flag off distribution of tricycles, scales, and other farm tools to farmers dem.
This event no be small matter o! Na Federal Government and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) plan this giveaway as part of Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) wey go make farmers’ life better. E be like na only food dem wan put on ground, rice and cassava dem dey target to boost well well.
Senator Kyari come dey yarn say before the year go end, dem go reach the target of 150,000 farmers we dem don set for this programme. Na proper hope e carry come as he talk say wey don help 135,000 farmers already, dem dey shine bright now as dem dey chop beta.
“E no go end like that,” he talk, “We go still tackle the input wahala, the same way we do for food prices. Na deliberate effort we go take ensure say input price go dey manageable.”
The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, too come join the gist, him dey hail the effort of the Minister, say the support dey help Naasrawa state remain number one for food production. “We dey appreciate wetin una dey do,” him talk, “Nasarawa no fit lose our position as one of the kingpins for agriculture for Naija.”
