Traditionalists Don Demand Make INEC Shift Osun Election Date

My people, e be like say this Osun State matter don gbege. Traditional Religion Worshippers Association for Osun don raise their voice, dem wan make INEC shift the date for the upcoming governorship election. You fit sabi say the date clash with the grand Osun-Osogbo Cultural Festival wey dey happen for the same period.

Dem write letter to INEC oga, wey dem sign with plenty oga titles, Dr Oluseyi Atanda and Chief Ifasola Onifade. According to dem, festival go start from July 27 and e go end for grand finale on August 7, just one day before the election wey dey set for August 8, 2026. No be small thing o!

Di clash no be just small wahala; di traditionalists dey reason say di festival attract big crowd wey fit cause security wahala if dem no change di date. Imagine, di festival finish on top Friday, people go dey jolly jolly everywhere, and na dia dem wan conduct election? Na wetin dem talk be say e fit hard to control movement and e fit bring serious gbege if politicians wan use di crowd do anyhow.

Dem even talk about how di presidential election wey Muhammadu Buhari win for 2015 shift from February to March due to security wahala. E be like say dem sabi wetin dem dey talk, abeg. Dem dey remind INEC sey e go beta if dem shift di date so that everybody go fit enjoy di festival without wahala.

As e stand now, incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, dey run for di election under Accord Party, ko I go fit face other candidates from different parties like PDP, APC and ADC. E no go easy at all if dem no fit settle this matter before di election date reach.

So my people, wetin you think? You feel sey dem fit shift di election make everybody enjoy di festival first? Make we yarn for dia! E get as e be!
