For Edo State, tension dey rise as APC and PDP dey trade accusations over attack on their members. According to reports from Premium Times and Punch, Chairman of the APC in Edo State, Jarrett Tenebe, come out to say that PDP be responsible for the attack on APC members.
Tenebe release statement on Friday, where he accuse PDP of orchestrating the violence. However, PDP no dey take the blame lightly, as they also come out to deny any involvement in the attacks. This back-and-forth accusations dey show the deep-seated political tensions wey dey exist between the two parties in the state.
This development come at a time when political rivalries in Edo State dey get more intense. The recent suspension of PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and the subsequent court order to reinstate him, also add to the political instability in the region.
