JAMB don release 2026 UTME mock results, delist 20 CBT centres wey fail

Na big news for Nigerian students today as JAMB don finally release the results for the 2026 UTME mock exam wey hold on March 28. The thing come with one serious wahala sha – over 20 CBT centres wey dey give problem don collect delisting from JAMB. Fabian Benjamin, the board mouthpiece, announce am on Tuesday say candidates fit check their scores by sending MOCKRESULT to 55019 or 66019.

Make we talk numbers small. According to JAMB, 224,597 candidates register for this mock exam. But only 152,586 actually sit for the test. The exam hold for 989 CBT centres across Nigeria. But as we dey yarn now, 20 of those centres don lose their license. Why? Technical wahala wey spoil the exam for some places.

You remember that Saturday? Plenty candidates reach centre early morning, ready to write. But computer no dey work. System no dey respond. Some centres even tell candidates to go home. Na serious frustration for many students wey prepare for months. Social media catch fire that day with complaints.

JAMB no dey take this matter with levity. After the exam, they review everything well well. Any centre wey show technical weakness, them just delist am. No second chance. The board say the centres wey them remove show “technical inaccuracies” wey affect the smooth running of the exam.

Now listen to this warning from JAMB. Fabian Benjamin talk say candidates must shine their eyes well well. Plenty fraudsters dey about, especially for WhatsApp. Dem dey promise say dem fit help increase scores. Make nobody fall for that gimmick. JAMB don warn say any candidate wey involve in such malpractice go collect serious punishment.

“Any candidate found to have engaged in such activities will have their registration cancelled,” Benjamin talk. “Where such infractions are discovered after the examination, results may be withheld or withdrawn.” The message clear – no shortcut to success.

For those wey write the mock, the results dey available now. The process simple: use the same phone number wey you use register, send that MOCKRESULT message to the shortcode. Within minutes, your score go land. This mock na important rehearsal for the main exam wey go start April 16.

JAMB remind everybody say the proper UTME dey corner. April 16 na D-day. All the 989 centres wey still remain go host millions of candidates. The board promise say them go monitor everything well this time. No room for technical failure again.

This whole matter of CBT centres dey show one bigger problem for Nigeria education system. As we dey move from paper to computer exam, infrastructure must follow. Stable light, good internet, working computers – these things no be luxury. Na necessity. When centre no get these things, students suffer.

Some parents wey we talk to express worry. “My daughter reach centre by 7am,” one mama from Lagos talk. “She no write until 2pm. The stress too much.” Another candidate from Abuja say the experience affect her confidence. “If mock dey like this, wetin go happen for main exam?” she ask.

JAMB get history with CBT centres. Last year, similar wahala happen. Some centres collect delisting. This year, another 20 join the list. The question wey many dey ask: when this pattern go stop? When Nigeria go get reliable digital infrastructure for exams?

Meanwhile, candidates wey write the mock fit now check their performance. The results go show areas wey dem need to improve before the main exam. JAMB advise say candidates use this opportunity well. Identify weaknesses. Work on am. No wait till last minute.

The board also talk about one court case wey involve exam malpractice. One young man, Ibrahim Abdulaziz, don collect three years prison for impersonation during last year UTME. The court say the offence affect public exam credibility. JAMP use this example warn candidates again – no try any sharp practice.

As we dey look forward to April 16, all eyes dey on JAMB. Can they deliver smooth exam this time? The mock don expose weaknesses. Now na time to correct am. Candidates dey hope say the main exam go better. Parents dey pray. Schools dey watch.

The education sector for Nigeria face many challenges. But exams like UTME must work well. Na the gateway to university for millions of young Nigerians. Any failure here affect futures. Any success here open doors. The stakes high. The pressure real.

For now, candidates wey write the mock fit breathe small. Results don out. Next step: prepare for the main event. JAMB promise better monitoring. Centres know say dem dey watch. The countdown to April 16 don start.
