Di Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) don release strong warning to all students wey register for di 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). According to di board weekly bulletin wey dem release on Monday, any candidate wey get slot for di mock exam but no show up go face serious sanctions.
JAMB talk say di mock UTME na optional exercise wey dem limit to specific number of students. Because of dis, every slot wey dem confirm get value, and when person no show up, e dey block anoda student wey fit need di opportunity. Di board talk say “Absence from di mock UTME after you don show interest go attract appropriate consequences.”
All di affected students dem advise to make sure dem arrange wella to participate for di mock UTME wey dem schedule for Saturday, 28th March 2026. Di board emphasize say even though di mock exam na just practice, e dey important because e dey help students prepare for di main exam.
For dis year own, JAMB don change di timing for di mock UTME. Before now, di exam dey last two hours, but for 2026, dem extend am to four hours. Di reason na to make students dey more familiar with di Computer-Based Test (CBT) format wey dem dey use for di main exam.
Di mock UTME go hold two sessions for Saturday. Di first session go run from 8:00 a.m. go reach 10:00 a.m., and di second session go start from 10:30 a.m. go reach 12:30 p.m. All students wey register for di mock exam go need to attend both sessions. JAMB talk say dis adjustment na to give students better exposure to di CBT environment before di main examination.
Di board don already allow students to print dia mock UTME slips. Students wey don register need to check dia details and make sure everything correct before di exam day. JAMB dey remind students say di mock exam na chance to test dia preparation and identify areas wey dem need to improve.
