Peter Obi Don Complain About UTME Registration Wahala

Wetin dey happen for Amawbia? Peter Obi, di Labour Party presidential candidate wey no fit forget 2023 election, don drop serious complain about di wahala wey candidates dey face as dem dey try register for di 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Dis matter no be small wahala o!

Obi talk say as e waka past di Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) office for Amawbia, na confusion and crowd hin see again. E no gree believe say things never change since last year when students dey dash head as dem dey struggle to register demselves. Dem don proscibe some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres wey dem say bring problem, but wetin come happen? Na di same issue dey repeat itself!

According to Obi, di wahala no be only for Amawbia wey dey Anambra State, but e don spread go other states too. E question if di JAMB and others no fit find better way to handle di matter. Just imagine, students wey dey waka from far places, some even dey sleep for Awka just to fit make dem registration. How dem wan take face examination if dem no fit register?

“If nothing serious dey happen fast, many go miss di exam — not because dem no prepare, but because di system no gree work,” Obi talk like person wey dey vex. E suggest say make dem allow di centres wey don face issues to operate small-small under serious watch. Dis one go help ease di pressure wey dey on di state offices.

Obi don stress di registration deadline wey dey close by February 26, and di consequences fit big for many candidates, especially dem wey dey from di rural areas. E talk say na high time make di authorities step up dem game. “We need urgent intervention, no be time to dey blame anybody,” Obi talk. Wetin we wan see na better way wey go allow youths to explore dem future without all dis administrative headache.”

You fit see say di matter dey serious, and Obi sabi am well well. Na wetin dem dey call “administrative bottlenecks” wey fit deny kids dem future opportunities. No be so e suppose be! Let’s hope say di authorities go take note before e too late.
