Residents of Akwa Ibom State don raise alarm over the danger wey dey come from oil well heads wey dem cork long time ago. Dis oil well heads, dem drill am for the 1950s, and now dem dey cause serious concern for the communities around.
A delegation from the Impacted Communities of Akwa Ibom State come out to talk about the issue, saying that if dem no take action, e fit lead to big disaster. Dem explain say the corked oil well heads dey leak and dey pollute the environment, which dey affect the health and livelihood of the people living there.
The residents and the delegation dey call on the government and the oil companies to come and fix the problem. Dem want dem to take immediate action to prevent any further damage and ensure the safety of the community.
This issue dey very serious because it not only affect the environment but also the economic activities of the people. The communities dey rely on the land and water for their daily living, and if dem no address this issue, it fit cause big problem for the future.
