MTN CEO Ralph Mupita Yarn Say India Digital Transformation Fit Teach World

MTN Group President and CEO Ralph Mupita don highlight India digital transformation and the role wey technology dey play to build fair and sustainable societies after GSMA Board and Leadership meetings for New Delhi.

Mupita talk say him and other industry leaders get the privilege and pleasure to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and exchange views on the role and impact of digital economy and technology for transforming nations.

According to Mupita, India don pass through significant transformation over the last decade through development of digital public infrastructure (DPI), sound and affordable spectrum frameworks, quick rollout of 4G and 5G networks and sunsetting of 3G.

He also point to the continued development of India Stack as key element of the country digital progress.

Mupita also say him appreciate the views and perspectives wey India Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, share on where India dey go and what the country fit share with the world.

The MTN chief praise GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath and the GSMA team for wetin him call a fantastic few days. He also thank Gopal Vittal, Sunil Mittal and the team at Bharti Airtel for being great hosts in New Delhi.

The engagements come as telecommunications and technology leaders continue to examine how digital infrastructure, connectivity and public digital platforms fit accelerate economic transformation and broaden access to the benefits of digital economy.
