JAMB don delist 23 CBT centres for 2026 UTME mock, warn 88 others

Na serious matter we dey yarn today o. Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, wey dem dey call JAMB, don delist 23 Computer-Based Test centres across Nigeria. Why? Because of technical wahala wey happen during 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

Dis decision come from bulletin wey JAMB release on Friday, April 10, 2026. Na Fabian Benjamin, Public Communication Advisor for JAMB, sign am. E happen as dem dey prepare for main UTME wey go hold from April 16 reach April 25 for 2026.

JAMB talk say dem do mock exam to check if all CBT centres ready for main exam. But after checking well-well, dem see say some centres no meet standard at all. Technical deficiencies everywhere. Network failure. System glitches. Some centres even delay candidates for hours.

Na why dem delist 23 centres wey mess up completely. Dem also warn 88 other centres wey get small-small issues. And one centre, Ha-shem Academy for Yaba, Lagos, dem don bar am permanently. Dat centre no go ever conduct JAMB exam again.

Fabian Benjamin yarn say: “We take dis step to maintain integrity of our examination process. Only centres wey meet required standards go dey used for main UTME.”

Now make we see wetin happen for numbers. Total of 2,243,816 candidates register for 2026 UTME nationwide. Lagos get 321,814 candidates. Kaduna get 303,498. Federal Capital Territory get 302,963. Ogun get 137,156.

JAMB even increase number of examination centres to 1,000 nationwide. Last year 2025, dem use less than 800 centres. Dem wan make access better for candidates. But some centres still fail.

Affected delisted centres spread across 11 states and FCT. Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, FCT, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, and Plateau. Lagos get highest number of delisted centres – five centres total.

For Abia, na Micben Seat of Wisdom Academy ICT Hall for Ukwa West. Anambra get Bishop Crowther Seminary CBT Centre for Awka and The Oracle Lens for Nnokwa. Bayelsa get Derby’s Young ICT Centre for Yenagoa.

Delta get three centres: Avid ICT Solutions for Asaba, Brightfield School for Ekpan, and Conarina Maritime Academy for Oria-Abraka. Edo get Daniet Global Resources and Moses and Grace College of Health Sciences for Benin City.

FCT get De-Lite CBT Centre for Maitama and Zulqud Consult Ltd for Lugbe. Lagos get Florin High School for Ejigbo, Folbob CBT Centre for Ibeju-Lekki, Great Kezino College for Ikorodu, Obans CBT Centre for Ikorodu, and Teesas Learning for Lekki.

Oyo get Lasting Glory Schools for Ibadan, Nesam International School for Apata, and SAF Polytechnic for Iseyin. Plateau get Rabjib Computer Academy for Jos.

Now for warned centres, dem plenty well-well. Dem spread across 25 states and FCT. Some na Abia State College of Health Science for Aba, Amjad Integrated Services for Mubi, Knowledge Partners Ltd for Uyo, and many others.

JAMB talk say all warned centres must fix their problems before main UTME. If dem no fix am, dem go face sanction too.

Dis matter don cause plenty talk among parents and candidates. Some parents complain say dem spend money transport their children to centres wey eventually fail. Candidates wey prepare well for mock exam vex say technical problems spoil their chance to practice.

But JAMB maintain say dem no go compromise standard. Mock exam na test run. If centre fail mock, how dem go handle main exam? Na dat logic dem follow take delist centres.

Main UTME dey come soon – from April 16. JAMB don talk say only centres wey meet all requirements go dey used. Dem increase number of centres to 1,000 to reduce overcrowding. But now with 23 centres delisted, dem go use 977 centres for main exam.

Fabian Benjamin advise candidates to check their examination slips well. Make dem confirm venue, date, and time. No make mistake go wrong centre.

Dis news come after earlier report say JAMB website dey give wahala during examination slip printing. Candidates complain say dem no fit access site. But JAMB say dem don fix dat problem now.

For delisted centres, dem fit reapply for accreditation in future. But dem must show say dem fix all technical problems. JAMB go inspect dem well before dem approve dem again.

Na serious warning to all CBT centres wey dey Nigeria. JAMB no dey play with exam integrity. Mock exam na opportunity to test yourself. If you fail, you face consequence.

Parents and candidates wey worry about main UTME, JAMB talk say dem ready. Dem don learn from mock exam problems. Dem go monitor all centres during main exam. Any centre wey try any funny game go face immediate action.

Now na to wait see how main UTME go go. With 2.2 million candidates wey register, and 977 centres wey remain, JAMB get big work for hand. But dem talk say dem ready. Dem just show say dem no dey fear to sanction any centre wey no meet standard.
