Sahara Go Don Open New Recycling Hub for Ibeju-Lekki Pipo

My people, e be like say Sahara Group no dey slack for their wahala of waste management! Dem just open their 17th Sahara Go Recycling Hub for Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. This one no be ordinary hub o; na to help the community sabi how to manage waste and make money from am!

Dis recycling initiative wey dem dey push na serious matter. Na im dey make sure say recyclable waste no go end for landfills. Instead, e dey turn am to cash wey even we for house fit enjoy. You sabi wetin dem dey call ‘waste-to-wealth’? Na wetin dem dey do for this hub!

The hub dey located for correct place inside Ibeju-Lekki, and e go make sure say residents sabi how to take care of their waste well-well. No be only dat, e get solar-powered Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) wey go make am easier for people to drop their recyclable materials, and dem go get reward straight!

As dem launch dis hub, Chidilim Menakaya, Director of Sahara Group Foundation, come talk say dis initiative dey focus on people. E clarify say, “Dis Sahara Go Recycling Hub no be just place wey dem dey collect refuse; e be platform wey fit bring dignity and jobs to community pipo.” She stress say by bringing recycling closer to dem, dem dey empower dem to help protect their environment.

The event come full as representatives from Sahara Group, local government people, community leaders, and plenty residents come gather to jubilate the gist. Olowa Abdullahi Sesan wey be Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, talk say dis hub dey come at the right time. E mention say dis initiative go turn waste to resources, and e go help the community reduce their environmental wahala.

The Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, come join the gist, dey urge residents make dem participate well for this program. Im dey highlight how responsible waste practices fit help everybody in the long run. Na correct matter!

Since dem start this Sahara Go Recycling Initiative, dem don collect over 660 tonnes of recyclable waste and don give out over ₦93 million. Dem don positively touch over 1,700 households wey dey enjoy alternative incomes from dis recycling matter. Na correct impact wey dem dey make, no be small!

Rita Idehai, wey be CEO of Ecobarter, also talk for the event. She dey highlight say partnership with Sahara Group Foundation dey deliver serious community-focused recycling solutions. Dem dey push for responsible waste practices and make sure say the community dey benefit directly.

Menakaya still emphasize say dem go continue to expand dis Sahara Go Recycling Initiative across Lagos. Dem dey serious about Building Sustainable Communities through wetin dem dey call EXTRApreneurship. Na so we go fit change the story of waste management for Naija!
