The Health Emergency Initiative (HEI) don join hand with Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) to make wetin dem call Emergency Health Education Curriculum Conference happen. Dis conference na correct move wey go change the way our children go dey learn how to handle wahala wey fit happen anytime.

Salisu Shehu, wey be Executive Secretary of NERDC, yarn say na serious matter we dey talk about here, and e get as e wan make sure that every pikin go sabi about health emergency matter from young age. He don talk say we go fit build communities wey go sabi handle emergency if we start to teach dem from school.

The chairman of HEI Board, Emmanuel Imafidon, also talk strong as e gree say this collaboration na big achievement. E talk say dem dey align dis emergency health awareness with the national education standard, and no be small thing o!

During the conference, dem gather plenty experts wey dey discuss wetin dem fit do to bring dis education waka enter our schools. Over 20 scholars, medical consultants, and trainers show face to talk how we go fit integrate emergency health into our curriculum.

Some of the things wey dem demonstrate include Basic First Aid management wey fit help people wey get road traffic accidents, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) wey fit save life as e dey happen!

As the conference dey close, HEI’s Executive Director, Paschal Achunine talk say una go see emergency health education enter core subjects for both public and private schools. E even talk say dem go create standalone module wey go strengthen this matter well well!

No be small thing; dem go deploy the Health Emergency Rapid Aid initiative wey go help improve response when wahala wan start. E get as representatives of partner agencies talk say this programme dey come at the right time and e go help our society.
