NDIC dey push financial literacy for secondary school wey dey Keffi

No be small matter o! Dem NDIC don waka go Keffi secondary school to carry gist about money matter! Na so dem yan for World Savings Day wey happen on Thursday. Dem tell the young ones say, ‘No be only savings account wey go fit save you; dem go need palm-wine culture as well to gather money for future.

Dr. Bashir Mende, wey be Assistant Director for NDIC, talk say, one of the work wey dem suppose do na to protect money wey people don keep for bank. E also add say making all this young pipo sabi how to save go help dem fit work for financial freedom wey go last for dem.

“Financial literacy dey very important because e go teach the young ones how to handle their money well and also promote the culture of savings. Na why we carry this campaign reach this secondary school,” na wetin Dr. Mende talk.

Mr. Abdullahi Ubam, wey hot for NDIC, don drive am home say investment na serious matter for this new century. E talk say investment be like planting seed for ground; you go see the better fruit wey go come later. “You fit start small business, buy shares or even invest for bond. All these na ways wey go fit help you tomorrow,” e yarn.

Ubam touch on the theme wey NDIC carry come this year, “This Is Not a Savings Account,” say e dey challenge the regular way wey people dey reason savings. E talk say savings no be just to keep money aside; na about mindset and culture wey go fit boost your empowerment.

Abdulrahman Abdul Keana, wey represent the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Education, join the gist too. E commended NDIC for bring the programme come school, saying financial literacy dey key for shaping responsible leaders. E even beg NDIC make dem fit establish savings clubs for students as way to boost their saving culture.

“Make we fit get savings club for our school, so that young ones go sabi the way of saving from early. E go help dem prepare for life ahead,” he talk.

The event come be like mini seminar where students dey learn about better financial habits and why dem need to start saving early. Na only so dem go fit build better future for themselves, no be joke o!
