NULGE Join Strike: FCT Workers Don Gree Waka!

Chai! E be like say wahala don set again for FCT as NULGE don give their members go ahead make dem join strike wey start from January 27, 2026.

This news no fit surprise many as the wahala dey escalate since workers of Federal Capital Territory Administration don dey protest since January 19 about their unpaid money and promotion matter. Na that one make di NULGE FCT President, Ibrahim Kabi, and Secretary, Sa’ad Abdulmumini, gather for emergency meeting wey dem talk say dem dey ready to join the ongoing strike.

Dem don sign communiqué wey talk say all local government workers for those six Area Councils no go work from tomorrow. Di reason wey dem give be say di issues wey dey ground dey affect their welfare, and dem no fit keep quiet as dem dey face serious issues like unpaid entitlements.

“All NULGE members across di six Area Councils are to withdraw their services effective January 27, 2026,” di communiqué talk. Na so dem go use di strike take press for their demands wey dey negotiate with di minister of FCT.

But the matter get as e be, as dem report say FCT workers wey dey under JUAC don already start their own strike, so dis one no be new level. Na wah! And to make matter worse, di National Industrial Court don also enter di matter with injunction wey go stop di strike. Justice E.D. Subilim don grant di application wey di FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, file.

So as e be now, di court don push di case back go January 27, awaiting wetin go happen next. Wetin we go fit do na to just dey watch how dis saga go unfold.
