FCMB Group Plc don appoint Mrs Adepeju Adebajo as Independent Non-Executive Director for dia Board, after di Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) give approval.
Mrs Adebajo bring over 30 years experience for industry, renewable energy, agriculture, finance, and consulting to di FCMB Group Board.
She specialise for business transformation and turnarounds, with strong record for strategy development, team leadership, and ESG implementation for clients for Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe.
Her background combine technical expertise and business insight, with degrees from Harvard Business School and Imperial College London, and further studies for Sustainability management.
She don lead teams for different sectors, including as CEO Cement for Lafarge Africa, UTC Nigeria, Mouka Limited and Lumos Nigeria, and AGM for UBA Plc.
Earlier for her career, she work with Boston Consulting Group, supporting clients for London, Europe and USA on business transformation and Citibank London.
Mrs Adebajo also found Pinky Blue Limited, di exclusive franchisee of Mothercare UK for Nigeria, and serve as Commissioner for Agriculture for Ogun State from 2017 to 2019.
She get passion for climate and sustainability, founding di Climate Governance Initiative Nigeria and serving on di World Economic Forum‘s Global Future Council on Climate and Nature Governance.
Her leadership don be recognised by Cranfield University, LinkedIn, CNBC Africa and Harvard Business School.
Mrs Adebajo don complete executive training for leading institutions, including di Advanced Management Programme for INSEAD, di Prince of Wales’s Business & Sustainability Programme for University of Cambridge, AI for Business Strategy for Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School and di Citibank Management Trainee Programme for London and New York.
She currently serve as Chair of di Board of di Lagos State Employment Trust Fund and sit on di boards of Ibstock Plc, a UK FTSE 250 manufacturing company, Wolseley Limited, a UK private equity-owned distribution company and Husk Power Systems, a Distributed Energy Resources company wey dey provide power to communities for di Global South.
She be Transformation Lead for Etex Group for Nigeria (Nigerite and Emenite).
She remain committed to increasing employment and employability, advancing di energy transition, sustainability, and mentoring women as an EMCC Qualified coach.
