According to Terrence Kuanum wey be Special Adviser for Public Affairs, government don yan say all enforcement actions concerning this alcohol wahala go dey paused. Dem talk say e go better make dem no dey seal factories and warehouses again, as dem dey discuss how to fit implement National Alcohol Policy wey don dey signed by Ministry of Health.
Dis move come after dem notice say the way NAFDAC dey try enforce di ban fit bring more wahala for society, especially as people dey lose job and businesses dey suffer from the disruption wey e dey cause. Na wetin we call serious national matter.
Na for Abuja this matter comot, dem talk sey una know say without proper policy framework, if dem continue to seal warehouses, e fit cause serious security issues. E no go sharp to dey play with people job, especially as we dey hustle to keep body and soul together for dis Naija.
As we dey talk, e don clear say di government don dey take the matter serious since December 2025 when dem first talk say make dem suspend any action about di ban. Dem even receive letter from the House of Representatives wey dey show concern over di wahala wey dey brew. E mean say plenty people no dey happy with how NAFDAC dey run things.
Na to ensure say we no turn am into national crisis, dem dey take time to consult with different agencies, so dem fit settle this alcohol matter well well. Dis one no be say dem no wan fight against illicit drugs; dem just wan make sure say dem no dey kill business and life with poor policies.
