This man wey sabi de koko for engineering matter talk say make all dis fresh engineers shine their eyes! He tell dem say integrity na wetin go carry dem far, and dem suppose join force with di older engineers to build wetin dem fit call new Nigeria.
Prof Agboola talk say engineering no be small matter o! E dey play big role for every sector, from building roads wey no go spoil after rain to making sure wahala no dey for healthcare. E remind dem say as dem don enter dis profession, na dem go carry society forward.
He also yarn say dis induction no be just to wear new suit and go party, e be like contract wey dem dey sign to show say dem go uphold ethics and professionalism. Na wetin we dey expect for naija na dis kind level.
As dem dey celebrate, Prof Agboola tell dem say dem no fit slack; dem gatz dey learn sharp sharp because the future dey look dem eye. He dey remind dem say every oga wey don reach top don face challenge, but na how dem tackle am make dem dey shine.
On top all dis matter, e also thank di parents and lecturers wey support dem, because no be small work to reach this level. Na so dem dey roar dat day, joy full everywhere!
Another person wey join for di gist na Prof Olufunke Akinkurolere, di Dean of Faculty. She pipu no go fit forget how she hala di university management as dem gree build 750-seater lecture theatre for dem to upgrade di learning environment. Dis one na big deal o! E mean say dem go fit welcome plenty more students.
She motive dem say na dis induction dey represent big responsibility and dem gatz carry am for head well. She remind dem say society dey rely on engineers to solve wahala wey dey ground. Na dem go find solution to plenty things wey dey spoil.
We also get big oga, Ademola Olorunfemi, wey come speak sense for di event. E talk say no be only degree go carry dem go far; integrity and good character na main key too. He motivate dem say make dem dey learn everyday and dey use technology follow to grow.
Na so di event take be as dem conduct di induction of engineering graduates into di Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and COREN. Na big session wey show say dis emerging engineers don ready to carry di load of National Development for head!
For di total convocation, 5,808 students collect dem degree, including 147 wey collect First Class. Na surely na quality work dey come out from this university wey dey rank 16th among 321 in di country. Dem don even add new programmes, 9 in total, to boost learning.
So my people, as di new engineers dey waka enter life, all eyes dey dem. Na dem go use dem skills take change Naija for beta. We dey put our hopes for dem, no be so?
