Cargo Agents Don Settle Matter with FAAN for MMMIA

My people, make we gather here, because gist don land from Murtala Muhammed International Airport wey get everybody dey rush update: cargo agents don finally settle wahala with FAAN!

As e be, the cargo agents wey dey run their hustle for MMIA don strike for eight days, no dey process any cargo matter again because FAAN wan raise cargo charge from ₦7 to ₦20 per kilogram. Na wetin dem call serious wahala! But as dem meet for important stakeholders’ meeting wey happen on Monday, dem agree on new charge of ₦15 per kg. Na this one wey dem call compromise, my people!

FAAN, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, yan say this new charge go help everybody waka well for airport matters and make sure say dem fit balance the way to manage infrastructure wey dey of ground. Lekan Thomas, wey be the Director of Cargo Development and Services, lead this meeting and the agents, dem fall go agree like say dem dey play ludo!

Before this settlement, na serious hot exchange dey go on. Dem get plenty people wey no too happy with FAAN as dem protest and stop work, saying dey no like increase without proper talk. Association wey dey represent dem, like the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents and the National Association of Government-Approved Freight Forwarders, don put their mouth to get the dialogue to work!

Finally, the cargo agents don confirm say dem don resume work as from Tuesday. Frank Ogunojemite, wey be the President of Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics, carry the good news come share am. He talk say dem go still meet with handling companies like Skyway and Nigerian Aviation Company to settle some rent matter wey don pile up during the strike. Their matter dey ongoing sef!

FAAN don also promise say dem go dey engage stakeholders regularly, as dem believe say the new charge go help enhance business for the airport. No be small strategy plan o!
