Northern Elders Forum (NEF) don talk say government wan site gold refinery for Lagos, dem dey claim say e no dey follow federal character principle. But Segun Tomori, wey be Special Assistant on Media to the Minister, don come out strong to push back this yarn.

According to Tomori, na private company, Kian Smith, dey run the gold refinery wey NEF talk about. E clear say no government gold refinery dey anywhere for Nigeria. Tomori tell us say the Minister, Dele Alake, never talk say government own any refinery for Lagos or anywhere else too.

Dem say this Kian Smith na correct initiative wey go help boost local gold industry. Tomori even praise the CEO, Nere Emiko, for her hustle and leadership wey make this project come to life. Na so e be say government dey encourage private sector to carry matter for mining industries.

Federation no dey feed anybody with raw minerals again. Dem dey talk about value addition policy wey go make sure say we dey process our minerals here for Naija. E go create jobs, my people! Tomori even drop gist on other investments wey come from this policy, like $600 million lithium plant for Nasarawa, and $400 million rare earth minerals plant wey also dey Nasarawa.
