Federal Ministry Yarn Say Gold Refinery No Be Govment Own

My people! Omo, that gold refinery gist don enter street, and na wah!

The Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development don clear air say wetin Northern Elders Forum talk about dem violate federal character principle no be true at all. Na wetin dem call ‘misinformation’ o, and dem don dash us straight facts for statement wey dem release for Abuja by Mr. Segun Tomori, wey dey serve as the Special Assistant to the Minister.

Tomori gree say the Minister, Dr. Dele Alake, never talk say Federal Government get or don establish gold refinery for Lagos or any part of Naija. E even clear say other gold refineries dey waka for different places, but na private companies dey own dem! Omo, people should take note. Lagos refinery na the brain work of Kian Smith, wey na totally private organization wey wan help develop our local gold industry.

But make we yarn well—Federal Government no go dey tell private companies where to set their business! Each company get dem own strategy wey go fit dem well. Na so e be for business world.

Tomori still hail Ms. Nere Emiko, wey be the MD of Kian Smith, say she don work tire to bring this refinery to life after many years of hustle. This refinery dey support solid minerals policy wey dey encourage local processing instead of make we dey export raw materials anyhow.

As e stand, Nigeria dey push make we no just dey send our gold out like that! We need to process am here, create jobs, and make money for ourselves. That na the motion wey this refinery dey follow, and e dey align with the policy wey the Federal Government don put in place.

Tomori don emphasize say the ministry go keep dey support private sector investment dem, as e don happen before with other projects like $600 million lithium processing plant for Nasarawa wey don ready to start.

So, my people, make we no carry heavy matter for head o, instead, make we celebrate these advancements. E go help our economy shine brighter! And maybe, just maybe, we fit see more of these kinds of projects shape up across Naija.

As for NEF, Tomori urge dem to join hands with the government to build strong economy for all of us. Because we need unity to push Naija forward! No time to dey fight.
