Governor Mutfwang no take am lightly as e describe the wahala as barbaric and senseless. For statement wey him press secretary, Gyang Bere, release on Thursday, him say na bad time for dis kind matter to happen, especially as him government dey try restore peace for the state.
“E strongly condemn di recent coordinated attacks wey happen for Kuru, Gyel, and Buhum. E talk say him government go make sure say dem protect lives and property for every corner of Plateau State,” di statement talk. Governor Mutfwang dey very vex say those kind terrorist acts no go stop dem from confronting banditry and any kind wahala wey dey vex person. “We go beef up security, and we go catch dem criminals wey think say dem fit just kill people like say dem dey play,” na wetin e talk. As di matter dey unfold, Senior Special Assistant on Artisanal Mining, Emmanuel Solomon, also confirm say seven people don die for di Kuru matter. Him fit no still recover from di shock as he call di situation “rather unfortunate.”
He tell say just before dis one, gunmen attack three people for another community for Gyel but only one person escape. Di victims dey waka go mining site when dem ambush dem, and two of dem waka go meet their ancestors.
