Abeg, my people, make I gist you about Naija festival wey dey burst brain! From the east, west, north, to south, our cultural heritage no dey dull!

Na real gbedu, as we get 36 states and more than 370 ethnic groups wey dey bring different flavours come our festivals. E be like say every state dey hold party wey show wetin make dem unique. I go run you through some of dis party wey dey happen from Abia to Kebbi, make you sabi wetin you dey miss!

First stop: Abia State weh dey celebrate New Yam Festival, wey dem dey call Iri ji ohu. Dis festival na big thank-you to the gods for the yam harvest. Traditional leaders dey perform rituals, family members dey drop food and prayers, while sweet music and dancing dey keep everybody jamming!

No forget Anambra State join, wey get Afiaolu Festival for Nnewi. Dis one dey start with rituals like IWAJI (yam tasting) and Ikpa Nku (wood gathering). The Igwe dey perform thanksgiving rites, then we go see better masquerade dances and wahala-free communal feasting. E dey show as we dey unite as one!

Bauchi State dey shine too, as dem dey host grand Durbar Festival during Eid. Kai, you no go wan miss dis one! Colorful horsemen dey parade for the emirs, carrying the history of our Islamic heritage and warrior tradition with pride. E go sweet you well well!

Make we no forget Borno State wey dey carry Global Kanuri Cultural Festival for Maiduguri. All Kanuri people from West Africa dey gather to celebrate their roots, with traditional attire, language, food, and live performances wey dey ginger the whole place!

Cross River State dey hold Calabar Carnival wey dem dey call “Africa’s Biggest Street Party!” This self-acclaimed festival go carry you enter like wow! Get ready for parades with vibrate costumes, competition of bands, and international guests wey go join the local festivities!

Enugu State dey drop Mmanwu & Iriji-Mmanwu Festivals, wey dey celebrate masquerades that dey embody the ancestors’ spirits. E go blow your mind with over 2,000 masquerade performances and acrobatics, showcasing Igbo artistry like never before!

Imo State bring Ikeji Arondizuogu Festival wey dey celebrate Arondizuogu pride. Dis one dey attract both local and foreign guests as dem dey showcase masquerades, music, and plenty poetry wey dey promote cultural love.

We fit no talk about Jigawa State Gani Durbar wey dey sweet pass! Dem dey showcase royal regalia, cavalry parades, music, and all the good things wey dey remind us of our historical events!

Kano State no dey sleep again with their extravagant Durbar Festival. Over hundreds of well-decorated horsemen dey burst the street, wey dey commemorate Islamic festivals and royal happenings. E dey gather people from all corners of Naija and beyond!

Kogi State get Ovie Orese & Ovia-Osese Festivals, wey dey welcome men come adulthood and honour young girls wey dey ready to become women. Music and dance dey rule the occasion, na real serious banger!

Kwara State dey also shine with Ilorin Durbar Festival, wey dey show royal horse processions, Quranic recitations, and paying respect to the Emir of Ilorin! Na mix of religion and culture wey dey give you goosebumps!

For Lagos State, Eyo Festival no fit miss! All masqueraders in white dey gather to celebrate ancestors and traditional institutions. E dey happen on top Lagos Island, as everybody dey shine!

Niger State dey celebrate Nupe Day every June 26. E dey commemorate when Nupe people show British how strong dem be back in 1896! Horse parades and cultural exhibitions dey reign supreme!

Ogun State dey hold two festivals: Ake Festival wey dey celebrate Yoruba literary and artistic excellence and Ojude Oba Festival wey dey blend Islamic fashion, horse riding, and tribute to Awujale. Na serious sweet combination!

Kebbi State no dey lag behind, as dem dey get Argungu Fishing Festival. This one dey sweet! Four days of traditional fishing competitions, canoe races, and cultural showcases, since 1934, representing peace and community spirit!
