Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, come do press briefing wey sweet for mouth wey him show for Kano yesterday. Na there e talk how dem catch these people from January to December, chop dem collect many criminal waka for 78 police divisions, 11 area commands, and 7 tactical units. Na so dem pursue for armed robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, and even thuggery. E no finish, dem come catch vehicle thieves and fraudsters too!

Bakori no dey play, e start im work since March 17, 2025. E carry out strong security check, and na dem find say plenty wahala dey wey involve thuggery (dem dey call am Fadan Daba), mobile phone robbery, and drug wahala for Kano metropolis. E fit see say bandits dey try waka enter 17 border local government areas too, and farmers dey crash with herders for village wey dey far.

To tackle all this wahala, the police come gather sense, dem use crime-mapping strategy wey dem take follow IGP Kayode Egbetokun order. Dis plan include community policing, intelligence-led operations, and dem even do joint patrols with other security people plus launch ‘Operation Kukan Kura.’ Dem show say things really dey happen for Kano!

Bakori breakdown dis arrests: dem catch 146 armed robbery suspects, 50 people wey dey kidnap, 112 drug dealers, 85 motor vehicle thieves, and 2,350 suspected thugs. E no stop there, 14 kidnapped victims don recover thanks to the effort of the police.

As dem dey talk about wetin dem recover, na wah! Dem gather nine AK-47 rifles, 13 pistols, and other dangerous weapons. Plus dem recover 94 vehicles, 52 tricycles, and even some cattle!
