Warriors Beat Spurs Again: No Mercy for San Antonio!

San Antonio, TX — For the second time in a row, the Golden State Warriors showed no mercy as they defeated the San Antonio Spurs, this time with a score of 121-111 at the Frost Bank Center on March 30, 2025. The win extends the Warriors’ dominance over the Spurs, leaving them with multiple players injured and struggling in the Western Conference.

Jayson Tatum led the Warriors with a stunning performance, scoring 29 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 8 assists. His teammate Jrue Holiday also brought his A-game, contributing 21 points from the floor with an impressive shooting efficiency of 66.7 percent. Luke Kornet made his presence felt off the bench, adding 15 points and an outstanding 16 rebounds.

“We just played hard and executed our game plan,” Tatum said after the match. “Everyone contributed, and we played as a team. That’s what’s important right now as we head toward the playoffs.”

The Warriors, currently sitting in seventh place in the Western Conference standings with a record of 42-32, needed this win to maintain their playoff position. Meanwhile, the Spurs are struggling with their season, now positioned in 13th place at 31-42, just above the New Orleans Pelicans.

Golden State jumped out to an early lead, establishing a 29-point advantage at one point. Throughout the game, they showcased a strong offensive performance, hitting 58.9 percent of their field goals. In contrast, San Antonio managed only 47.1 percent.

The Spurs did not go down without a fight. They attempted to mount a comeback in the second half but ultimately fell short. Keldon Johnson led the Spurs in scoring with 25 points, but it wasn’t enough against a sharp Warriors squad.

San Antonio’s woes on the injury front continued, missing key players like De’Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama due to various injuries. The absence of these players has greatly impacted the Spurs’ performance this season.

“Injuries are part of the game, it’s tough,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “But we need to find a way to rally and fight for every point. The season’s not over yet.”

With their eyes firmly set on the playoffs, the Warriors will look to build on this win, while the Spurs desperately need to figure out a winning formula with their next match approaching. The playoffs are just around the corner, and both teams must recalibrate as they face what lies ahead.
