Singhvi, who come board on May 22, 2020, na bigman wey sabi plenty tins during him time. Dem say him dey responsible for plenty moves wey gree dey up di company with major investment projects, steady revenue growth, and digital transformation (talk true, na wetin we all need for Naija). But wetin happen to make am just waka? Dem no yan nobody, just drop one kind silent exit for everybody.
But make we talk about Thabo Mabe small. This South African bros carry BSc in chemistry and mathematics from Fort Hare University. E start him journey for Unilever as graduate trainee, rise up like akara wey dey hot on top grill. Over time he don perform roles for manufacturing, production, sales, and supply chain operations. Na wah!
By 2004, Mabe don reach VP level for Unilever’s supply chain division. After dem join Unilever’s homecare and food units, Mabe also take over that side. In 2010, na him don dey run things as CEO of Unilever Nigeria, where him change di gear from slow to fast (na you sabi magic). E lead plenty turnaround for di Flour Mills side for Dangote Group. So, this guy no be just any how person o!
When Dangote withdraw from di flour production in 2019, Mabe no just sit down fold hand. Him carry him experience go manage Dangote Rice Limited instead. And for 2022, na NASCON Allied Industries Plc him dey manage before dis new position come meet am. Abi na say him dey carry cross continent experience from South Africa, Germany, and Naija enter di new role? Well, wet be say dis guy package well!
According to Dangote Sugar, Mabe go bring plenty international skills join their table, who sabi abi?! As dem dey promote dis new appointment, dem also want make sure say dem keep everything steady for di stakeholders wey dey look front for the company’s long-term goals. Dem show say dis appointment fit better dey align with di company’s overall strategy. We no dey waste time o!
We fit see di numbers dem show say Dangote Sugar don record 29 percent increase for revenue for di nine months wey end by September 30, 2025, plenty cash don come in N626.24 billion ($434.4M). But no be all sweet sweet story, dem also report loss after tax of N10.59 billion ($7.35m), but e don be better pass last year wey dem chop N184.36 billion ($127.89M) loss.
