Suns Dey Loss Plenty, Bucks Wan Use Am Catch Fire

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Phoenix Suns and Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks go head-to-head on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Fiserv Forum. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET as the Suns hope to shake off their four-game losing streak.

Despite not winning in their last four games, the Bucks are 7.5-point favorites at home. They come off a tough loss against the Atlanta Hawks, where they fell 145-124, landing them in fourth place in the East’s Central Division. Milwaukee still has a strong hold on a playoff position with a four-game gap over seventh-place Atlanta.

Meanwhile, the Suns currently sit in 11th place in the Western Conference, just outside playoff contention, and are looking to qualify for the postseason Play-In Tournament. They are coming off a harsh 148-109 defeat against the Houston Rockets and are keen to bounce back.

“We have no choice but to fight,” said Suns star Devin Booker. “We need these wins; every game counts right now.”

Since the beginning of March, the Suns have struggled, posting a 12-25 record in away games. The pressure is on for the Suns to limit their turnovers and clamp down on defense after allowing 140-plus points in recent outings.

On the injury front, the Suns will be missing key players Kevin Durant (ankle), Bradley Beal (hamstring), and Royce O’Neale (illness). Suns coach Mike Budenholzer expressed concerns about the impact of these absences on the lineup.

The Bucks, on the other hand, have their own injury issues. Damian Lillard remains sidelined with deep vein thrombosis in his calf, and they are hopeful he can return quickly. “Damian’s health is our No. 1 priority,” said Bucks general manager Jon Horst.

In their last game, Milwaukee shot a stunning 68.9% from the field against Phoenix’s 49.2%. The ratio of 3-pointers attempted between the two teams was close, with Phoenix attempting 45 compared to Milwaukee’s 29.

“We need to hit our shots if we want to keep up with the Bucks,” added Booker. “We can’t afford to let them get comfortable.”

As the game approaches, both teams are on high alert. The Suns look to break their losing streak, while the Bucks aim to regain their lost momentum.

The upcoming matchup is crucial not just for their standings but also for building confidence as both teams eye the playoffs. With a competitive history, this game promises to be an exhilarating encounter.
