Patrick Agbambu, the International Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of Africa Security Watch, announce dis at a briefing in Abuja on Tuesday. He say Sanwo-Olu go talk on the conference theme, “Developing Modules for People-Centric Governance towards the Enhancement of Peace and Security,” using Lagos as example.
General Musa, on the other hand, go focus on “the nexus between citizens’ socioeconomic development and national defence.” Agbambu explain say the theme of the event be carefully chosen to address the heart of the challenges Africa dey face and set the stage for actionable discussions to make Africa more peaceful and secure.
He add say, “The foremost responsibility of any government or leadership be to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of its citizens. It is through responsive and people-centred governance that societies can thrive, where policies be crafted with the people in mind, ensuring peace, stability, and security for all.”
Agbambu also mention say over 70% of Africa still dey affected by various levels of insecurity, which dey hinder development, spread fear, and keep many citizens in poverty.
The conference go feature distinguished keynote speakers, lead paper presenters, and panellists from across Africa and beyond. They go address critical topics pivotal to shaping a secure future for Africa.
