Dem talk say dem don hear about fake announcements wey dey spread like wildfire, wey people dey attribute to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government. “This kind lie fit scare people and disturb peace for Rivers State,” Dede Friday talk, stressing say neither de suspended governor nor de deputy governor don been called for any meeting.
One report wey dey trend for Monday talk say de Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), don summon de two leaders to Government House for Friday, April 18, 2025. But Rivers State Government don come out strong ly to say dis announcement no come from official source at all.
“We go like make everybody sabi say dis announcement na fake. No listen to rumors wey dey mislead people,” Dede Friday emphasize. He add say dem need to dey enjoy peace for Rivers and people suppose trust only verified sources for any information.
De statement encourage Rivers people to check official channels to know wetin dey happen. Dem mention say people fit visit de Rivers State Government website (www.riversstate.gov.ng) and follow dem for their verified social media pages, as dem still dey work to improve communication with de public.
