Peter Obi, dan takarar shugaban ƙasa na jam’iyyar Labour Party (LP) a zaben 2023, ya yi magana mai zafi game da vigils na dare da yawan aikin Nijeriya. A wata hira da aka yi da shi a podcast mai suna ‘The Honest Bunch’, Obi ya ce Nijeriya ta samu damar samun fa’ida ta fi yawa idan ta canza vigils na dare zuwa night shifts na aiki.
Obi ya ce, “Mun rayu a cikin al’umma mara yawa ba tare da aikin ba. Wannan shi ne yasa siyasa da cocin suka zama abin jan hankali. Kuna bukatar kawar da haka (nuni da tunanin). Kuma mun zauna canza vigils na dare zuwa night shift don haka mutane su zama masu aikin.”
Maganar Obi ta jan hankalin mutane da dama a kan layin intanet, inda wasu suka goyi bayansa, yayin da wasu suka kasa amince. Joshua Mike-Bamiloye, dan Mike Bamiloye, ya rubuta a kan X (formerly Twitter), “So now vigils are the reason Nigeria isn’t productive? Boy, the mentality of blaming church attendance for Nigeria’s problems is a very misguided one and, at best, an insult.”
TheoAbuAgada ya rubuta, “Attending vigils and serving God does not make people any less productive. He cannot attack Muslims and their devotion to Allah the same way he just attacked Christians and their beliefs.”
Moses Paul, wanda ke goyon bayan Obi, ya ce, “To those who are quick to jump to conclusions based on headlines, I urge you to listen to the entire interview. Misinterpretations are circulating, but his message was clear: productivity is essential, even within religious spaces.”
