Otti Talk Say No Dem Go Defect Join APC, Na Fake News!

ABA, Abia State — Governor Alex Otti of Abia State don sharply dismiss the rumor wey talk say he dey plan to defect from Labour Party to All Progressives Congress (APC). For di matter wey happen on Saturday, Otti yan through him Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, say di news dey false, baseless and make no sense.

Ekeoma clarify say di rumor come from a meeting wey Otti and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma follow attend after National Economic Council meeting for April 24. Na for di birthday party of Uzodimma twin daughters dem meet, and e no get anything to do with politics.

“Governor Otti dey focus on good governance and him no wan make political moves wey go affect Abia people without dem involvement. Him advise everybody make dem no put politics of 2027 for front when wey governance suppose be di main talk,” Ekeoma explain.

E go on to say say, “Governor Otti still dey Labour Party. He no dey plan to discuss joining APC or any other party. Na just political speculation wey no fit stand.”

The rumors about Otti’s defection come as political tension dey rise, especially following di defection of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori from PDP to APC. Dis matter don dey cause people to talk say some governors for di opposition party dey eye APC.

Otti talk say e no go allow politics cover di real work wey dey needed for di people, stressing say di important thing na to dey focus on development before di next election season start. “Abia people deserve better. We go make sure say we dey follow their interest with any political decision wey we go make,” Ekeoma add.
