Otedola Don Blow ₦4 Billion Gift for Engineering Block Inside Augustine University

Ilara-Epe, Lagos State – Every padi for Naija don talk am, billionaire and philanthropic champion, Femi Otedola, no dey carry last when it comes to supporting education. Just yesterday, during the 7th Convocation Ceremony and 10th anniversary of Augustine University, Otedola shock everybody when he announce say him go drop ₦4 billion for dem to construct a modern Electrical and Electronics Engineering block.

As Chancellor of the university, Otedola clear say this na for the second phase of the Dame Doja Otedola Faculty of Engineering, wey dem name after him mama. He talk say inflation don cause some wahala, making construction costs skyrocket, but he no let that stop him from giving this huge donation.

“I sabi say things no dey easy, but education na key. I go present this cheque of ₦500 million to the contractor right now, and we hope say by our next convocation in 2026, dis new block go don dey ready for use,” Otedola talk with serious face. (May we see how dem go run dis one o! 😂)

This latest move follow series of generous donations wey Otedola don make to the university. Last year, he dropped ₦3.7 billion fa! And not to forget, him don help 750 students with ₦1 million each too!

For him speech, Otedola also praise the steady growth of Augustine University, saying the school dey fulfill its mission of providing “integral education for a borderless world.” E be like say e don ready to support the new Vice-Chancellor, Anthony Alaba Akinwale, as well as the new Pro-Chancellor, Winifred Akpani, to help steer the ship further.

Otedola no just stop there – him also share 1,000 copies of him best-selling book, ‘Making it Big’, to students and faculty. “Carry the values of this university go anywhere you dey go; be big in spirit but humble in service,” he encourage the graduands.
