Alabi dey celebrate well-well as hin birthday dey come on October 27, 2025. The book go dey dedicated to the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja. E no be small thing, because na to honor the king and the traditions wey dey for Ibadanland, my friend!
No forget say the festschrift wey Alabi compile get contributions from big heads dem. From Chief Julie Coker wey be veteran broadcaster, to Tunde Rahman, wey sabi media matter well well, everybody wan show love. Dem even fit add some small palm wine to spice am! (Just joking, or maybe not)
Earlier this week, Alabi go pay visit to Oba Ladoja for hin Bodija house, dem say he wan gree the king well before the launch. E carry one letter wey dey remind dem about the book launch and the book itself. Na so the king’s media adviser, Chief Adeola Oloko, come receive am and don dey prepare for the big day.
As Alabi dey plan the launch, e use hin mouth talk say e be double celebration. E go dey celebrate hin big age and our new Olubadan reign. “God willing, on October 1, my festschrift go dey launched and dedicated to our Kabiyesi, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja. All hail our King. Long live the King,” Alabi yan, dey smile like say him don chop correct jollof rice!
People wey get big brains and influence go dey for the gathering. Scholars, cultural leaders, traditional rulers, media professionals, and political big men go gather for Ibadan on that day. I fit tell you, e go be like movie premiere!
