Born on April 9, 1939, for Egbu, Owerri, Imo State, Dozie shine bright from him school days for Our Lady’s School for Emekuku before he waka go London School of Economics wey he study Economics and gree master’s degree for Administrative Science.
He start Diamond Bank for 1990, wey later become one of di most respected financial institutions for Naija before di merger with Access Bank. E hand over di bank to him pikin, Uzoma, later.
Dozie also help launch MTN Nigeria, serving as dem first chairman and lead di telecom revolution wey help connect millions of Nigerians.
