ABUJA, Nigeria – Hukumar Sadarwar Najeriya (NCC) ta ba da umarnin yanke hanyar sadarwa ta USSD na bankuna tara saboda rashin biyan bashin N160 biliyan da suka yi tun shekarar 2019. A cikin sanarwar da ta fitar a ranar Laraba, NCC ta lissafta bankunan da suka hada da Fidelity Bank Plc (770), First City Monument Bank (329), Jaiz Bank Plc (773), Polaris Bank Limited (833), Sterling Bank Limited (822), United Bank for Africa Plc (919), Unity Bank Plc (7799), Wema Bank Plc (945), da Zenith Bank Plc (966).
NCC ta ce, idan bankunan ba su biya bashin ba nan da ranar Litinin, 27 ga Janairu, 2025, za a yanke hanyar sadarwar USSD. “Don cika wajibcin kare masu amfani, hukumar tana sanar da masu amfani cewa ba za su iya amfani da dandalin USSD na bankunan da abin ya shafa ba daga ranar 27 ga Janairu, 2025,” in ji NCC.
A baya, kamfanonin sadarwa sun ce za su yanke hanyar USSD na bankuna 18 saboda rashin biyan bashin N200 biliyan. Amma a ranar Laraba, NCC ta bayyana cewa tara daga cikin bankunan sun biya, yayin da sauran tara ba su biya ba. Hukumar ta kuma bayyana cewa adadin bashin ya ragu zuwa N160 biliyan.
Sanarwar ta kara da cewa, “Har zuwa ranar Talata, 14 ga Janairu, 2025, tara daga cikin bankunan 18 sun kasa biyan bashin da suka yi tun shekarar 2020.” NCC ta kuma ce idan bashin ba a biya ba, za a iya ba da lambobin USSD kamar 770, 919, da 822 ga wasu masu nema.
Bayanin daga Babban Bankin Najeriya (CBN) ya nuna cewa, tsakanin Janairu da Yuni 2024, an yi cinikayyar USSD miliyan 252.06, wanda ya kai N2.19 tiriliyan.
