Marvel don finally waka enter animation world with their new series, Marvel Zombies. Dem don dey tease us since wetin happun for the What If…? episode wey show us wetin fit happen if our favorite superheroes turn to zombies. Na this new series go continue from that adventure and we dey feel am! E go land for Disney+ on September 24, 2025.
As fans dey wait with bated breath, the big oga for Marvel Television, Brad Winderbaum, don talk say dem don draw plans for Season 2. But as e be, no be by mouth, o! Winderbaum talk say, “Please, like, people have got to subscribe to Disney+ and watch this show. If that happens, they will get more. And we are excited. We’re ready.” (Chai! Who wan carry their money go pay for subscription? Na we go carry the thing go market!)
This first season go consist of four episodes wey go boko boko tell us how zombie wahala start for the MCU. E go show how Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Ant-Man dey try survive this new normal wey na zombie dey everywhere. E go even bring back Thanos as zombi, wey sabi say dem no fit carry Thanos play anyhow! (No be small waiting, we sabi how Thanos dey vex move.)
Marvel Zombies started as comic wey Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips gas draft for 2005. Di story turn cult classic, as dem fit mix the superhero vibes with plenty zombie madness. Since then, e don spawn many sequels and spin-offs. Now, Marvel don decide to bring am back for animated series. But no worry, e go still get that level of suspense and horror wey dem don build since di ogbonge comic days.
Winderbaum still confirm say, although dem dey use inspiration from di comic book, the animated version go get its own story. Di no-go-miss characters go take style enter plus new faces if dem fit get Season 2 commot. Winderbaum drop plenty gist on top wetin dem don formula for Season 2—who no wan see plenny super characters join di zombie party?
As for now, everybody dey try imagine wetin go happen when Spider-Man use Stormbreaker on Thanos – hope say e no go end like Thor of old, wey suppose go for di head! If e fit chop Thanos finish, na wetin we go call ‘progress’, wey Marvel really need (after all dis tin wey don happen for di last years!)
