“We go sabi say the money wey government talk say dem don spend actually dey work if we dey see celebration for years to come,” he add. Professor Auwalu Halilu wey lead education watchdog group for Kano tell say the role of advocacy groups help increase performance. “When you pressure government to do better, we dey see good results,” he talk.

Dr. Bilyaminu also talk say government commitment to giving students financial aid help boost their morale to pass their exams. “Students go feel encouraged to do well because dem go believe say dem go fit get support to continue education after secondary school,” he say. Poor kids wey think say dem no fit continue before dey dey try harder to pass exams now thanks to the encouragement.
