Paris, France
Dem wan show grinding dis evening as TF1 dey air di last episode of di hit series “HPI” wey don turn big wahala for French TV since e start. Dis go be di grand finale wey everybody dey wait for after four sweet seasons of twist and turns. As we go see di end of di series, e don already carve im name for di history of French fiction (na serious matter!).
HPI na about one woman wey dey work as cleaner, but na big brain she get too. We fit call am genius because she sabi solve problem pass many people wey dey claim dem get sense. Audrey Fleurot, wey dey play di role, dey shine bright as Morgane Alvaro, di single mother wey dey juggle life and im three pikin wey come from two different fathers (hmmm, no easy oh!).
This show don make wave for di screen, break record for di best audience dem don see for TF1 since 15 years (no be small thing). E dey attract young people as dem sabi wetin dey happen as di character dey rock fashion styles wey dey get everybody talking.
But e no just end for wetin we dey see for screen; di impact of HPI don reach beyond cinema as many people dey rush dem go collect test for HPI in France (if you no sabi wetin be HPI, abeg go find out!). Dis show don spark serious conversation and e don become pop culture gangan.
Di series dey show how people fit rise above dem wahala. Morgane dey face money palava, work issues, and where to sleep, but e no dey make di story dull and sad. Instead, as she dey find solution, she dey represent hope and resilience for everybody wey dey face daily struggles. E be like say di show don give people check sense (talk true!).
And make we no forget say she dey break rule too! Morgane dey carry di badge of rebellion with her sharp tongue and she dey challenge authority (plenty people dey relate). Di director of TF1, Ara Aprikian, don talk say di show dey catch fire for international scene as e dey trend for places like America, wey even dey follow di storyline (wetin we go do without dem?).
In short, HPI no be just another series; e be di voice of di society wey dey mirror di challenges wey don show for post-industrial world. E don turn into historical document wey go dey hold space for many years to come. Na wetin dem dey call a cultural phenomenon!
