Los Angeles, CA – April 23, 2025 – Fans can now cast their votes in the 2025 American Music Awards, as Kendrick Lamar leads nominations with 10 nods. The voting period started today and will run until May 15, 2025.
Voting for this year’s AMAs is open through multiple methods. Fans can vote online via the official AMAs website to select their favorite artists across various categories. Alternatively, they can also vote on Instagram by commenting under the pinned ‘VOTE HERE’ post on the AMAs profile with the specific hashtags related to the artists.
Each artist has unique hashtags for every category they are nominated in. Fans must make individual comments for each artist and category they wish to vote for, as only one hashtag can be included in each comment. It’s important to note that your Instagram profile must be public for your vote to count.
Each fan can cast up to 25 votes per category per voting method each day, but during designated “Turbo Days” on April 29, May 6, and May 13, votes can go up to 50. Voting will close on Thursday, May 15, at 11:59 p.m. PT. However, the categories for Collaboration of the Year and Social Song of the Year will allow voting until the show starts on May 26, at 5:30 p.m. PT.
The AMAs will air live from Las Vegas on Memorial Day, May 26, hosted by Jennifer Lopez. The event promises to deliver unforgettable performances and will be broadcasted nationwide at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS and available for streaming on Paramount+.
The awards themselves are entirely fan-voted, with nominations reflecting the artists’ interactions with fans as depicted on the Billboard charts, including streaming, album sales, and performance data.
Key highlights for this year include notable contenders: Post Malone follows Lamar with eight nominations, while Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey all have seven nominations each. As anticipation builds, fans are encouraged to take part in the voting process to support their favorite artists.
