LAGOS, Nigeria — Federal Government of Nigeria don announce public holidays for Eid-el-Fitr celebration wey go happen on Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Dis announcement come from the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for statement wey the ministry release on Wednesday.
Tunji-Ojo congratulate all Muslim faithful for dem successful completion of Ramadan fast and highlight how di holy month dey important for fostering self-discipline, compassion, and spiritual renewal. E add say Eid-el-Fitr na time to reflect on di core values wey dem learn during di month.
“As we dey celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, make we reflect on di lessons of Ramadan, embrace one another with love and forgiveness, and work together to build a more united and prosperous Nigeria,” Tunji-Ojo talk.
Di minister call on all Muslims to continue dey show love, generosity, and peace during di festive season, wey fit help promote national unity and religious harmony. He urge say make all Nigerians use di time to dey pray for di country’s peace, stability, and prosperity.
“I wish all Muslim faithful a joyous Eid Mubarak. May di blessings of dis season bring happiness and fulfilment to everybody,” Tunji-Ojo conclude, urging make people celebrate responsibly and extend kindness to di less privileged.
