Yobe State, Nigeria – Governor Mai Mala Buni don give tuition fees and laptops to 127 law graduates wey gain admission into Nigerian Law School on Wednesday. Each graduate collect N475,000 for tuition plus laptop to help dem study well.
Buni talk say him government dey serious about education, noting say over 38,000 students don benefit from the state scholarship scheme since him come power. Dis na the fourth time wey him administration dey provide scholarships for law graduates to attend the Nigerian Law School.
“127 graduates apply for sponsorship and we don award dem N475,000 tuition fee plus laptop computer to support dem studies,” Buni talk during the presentation. “I dey happy to say our government dey consistent with sponsoring students to pursue education for both inside and outside di country, with more than 38,000 benefitting from di state scholarship scheme under my administration.”
The governor also mention di efforts wey di administration don put in place to give job to graduates wey study medical and allied courses for Indian universities. He disclose say 140 out of 189 graduates don already secure jobs, while di remaining 49 go soon follow.
“We go continue to prioritize education and support our citizens to pursue education for every level,” he add.
Buni also encourage di students to follow di rules and regulations of di law school and avoid any wahala wey fit disturb dem studies. “You should remain good ambassadors of di state to make us proud,” di governor admonish dem.
This initiative dey part of di Recovery Through Education and Scholarships framework, wey aim to equip di youth for Yobe with di skills and knowledge to boost socio-economic growth.
