Abuja, Nigeria – The wahala don plenty as many federal civil servants don dey urge the Federal Government make dem clear the outstanding three months wage arrears of N35,000. This news drop for Sunday, as workers dey vex over the steep cost of living wey no wan gree calm down.
Dr. Uche Anune wey be civil servant, don talk say make the government no wait until people begin vex or protest before dem go fulfill wetin dem promise. “Na wetin I dey see be say anytime wey matter wan bad, government go dey relax like say nothing dey happen, until people waka come out dey shout. That no suppose be the case!” he talk.
Another padi wey dey vex, Mr. Joseph Edeh, come say make dem clear the three months arrears without any excuse again. Him lament say the delay don make him doubt the sincerity of the Federal Government. “How dem go pay two months and leave us hanging? Why dem dey treat us so? Make dem just pay us the remaining three months and make we enjoy our life, abeg,” Edeh continue.
Miss Franca Ofili join the matter too, her own na say that N35,000 wey dem dey delay fit solve many financial wahala for people. “We need that money sharp-sharp, e fit carry us go market without wahala. The government gatz clear that outstanding arrears ASAP!” she talk with plenty urgency.
On top all dis wahala, the Federal Government don yan say dem dey committed to finally clear the remaining wage arrears. Bawa Mokwa, wey be spokesperson for the Office of the Accountant-General, talk say the payment depend on how funds go dey available. Mokwa come talk say dem don pay one tranche in August, and remaining three go follow after that.
“E no dey true say government don carry dem leg enter ground. Bi dey go still dey pay the wage award of N35,000 every month until dem finish paying all the arrears.” Best make dem gree do the right thing before anything happen, cause the agitation don dey build up, no be small.
