AKURE, Nigeria — Two men, Adebowale Adegboye and Idowu Akinseye, don dey remanded for prison after they allegedly rape 10-year-old girl (name wey dem no mention) for Ondo State. Dis case happen on April 28, 2025, as Magistrate Court sit down for Akure, di capital of Ondo State.
Di police arrest Adegboye, wey be di father of di victim, and Akinseye, wey be di stepfather, after dem find say both men don carry out di crime at different times. Di court hear say Adegboye and Israel Ojo, di doctor wey allegedly abort di pregnancy for di girl, don dey charged together for court.
Di charges against Adegboye and di doctor include unlawful procurement of abortion and incest. According to di charge sheet, Adegboye was said to commit incest on December 15, 2024, when he allegedly use carnal knowledge on im biological daughter.
Additionally, dos men face multiple charges including five counts of incest, abortion, and indecent assault under di Ondo State Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law 2021.
Magistrate Grace Alphonso, wey preside over di case, rule say di defendants go remain for correctional facility as dem dey wait for legal advice from di state Director of Public Prosecution.
For di charges, Akinseye dey accused of caressing di girl and inserting im finger for di victim’s vagina without consent. Di specific charge read say on several occasions for di year 2019, he unlawfully deal with di girl who dey just 10 years old at dat time.
