Lagos, Nigeria — Gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan don share him heartfelt reflection on how e dey cope with the loss of him wife, Adedoyin, six years after her death. On Sunday, Oyekan, 40, take to social media to mark the anniversary with a touching message.
“Six years today!! God is good,” Oyekan write, show wetin him dey feel despite the pain. For him message, Oyekan explain say, “I didn’t numb the pain, I channeled it!” Him talk say, “I found closure in the Presence of God, understood from God’s perspective, accepted His sovereignty, and found joy in His presence!”
As him end the message, Dunsin Oyekan go shed tears of joy, as him declare, “Six years after, all I still have to say na GOD IS GOOD!”
Adedoyin pass away on May 18, 2019. Though the cause of her death no dey disclosed, dem couple get two children together. Since her death, Oyekan don open up about how him faith serve as him source of strength.
“Most people wonder how I survive after everything wey happen,” he add. “But I no just dey hide my pain; I use am find healing and comfort,” he continue. Him emphasize say God presence help am understand life better, accept e fate, and maintain joy even through the hard times.
Oyekan reminder say everybody sabi say God dey always good, regardless of wetin we dey go through. As he commemorates this significant date, Oyekan serve as inspiration for many wey dey face similar losses.
