Ninety-eight (98) delegates sponsored by the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) have successfully completed a specialized maritime training program in Delta State. The training, which was conducted at the Joemarine Nautical Institute, focused on various maritime-related skills and included a boot camp and refresher courses.
The delegates underwent an intensive two-month training to enhance their skills in marine engineering and other specialized maritime fields. This initiative is part of the PAP’s efforts to equip beneficiaries with relevant skills to integrate them into the workforce and contribute to the maritime sector.
The training program was designed to provide the delegates with hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge, preparing them for careers in the maritime industry. The successful completion of this training marks a significant milestone in the PAP’s mission to empower and rehabilitate former militants and other beneficiaries in the Niger Delta region.
The Joemarine Nautical Institute, known for its expertise in maritime education, played a crucial role in delivering the training. The institute’s facilities and instructors ensured that the delegates received high-quality training that meets international standards.
