TAKUM, TARABA, Nigeria – Former Minister of Defence, General T.Y. Danjuma (rtd), don sharply emphasize say the current fight against insecurity for Nigeria no fit depend on government alone. Him talk this one during one gathering wey him organize for him staff for Takum over the weekend.
General Danjuma tell the crowd, including him staff and partners, say citizens no suppose fold their hands while bandits and terrorists dey overrun their communities. He warn say if we no start to defend ourselves, the matter go turn serious. “We no fit just dey watch while bandits, terrorists, and criminal gangs dey massacre our people like say nothing dey happen,” he warn.
He highlight the recent killings wey don happen for Benue and Plateau states as proof wey show the government no dey able to protect citizens. “The warning wey I give years ago still dey as relevant today. Nigerians must rise and defend themselves,” Danjuma insist.
Lamenting the lack of effective security measures from the government, he further stress say, “It clear say the government no fit protect us alone. We gatz stand up, defend our families and our lands before dem criminals overrun everything.”
As part of the event, General Danjuma express appreciation to him staff for their hard work, especially those wey dey work for the TY Danjuma Medical Centre. Him praise the staff for their dedication and public service, saying dem don help build the image of the institution.
