Popular crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, aka Bobrisky, dey detention for Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos State. Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) arrest am at Seme border while him dey try to escape to Benin Republic on Sunday.
According to FCID spokesperson, Mayegun Aminat, Bobrisky arrive FCID Alagbon around 10 PM on Monday after him spend night in detention. Aminat confirm say, “Him dey detention at FCID Alagbon. Him dey with us, and we dey get remand to keep am in custody today.”
NIS describe Bobrisky as person of interest due to recent issues of public concern. NIS spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, say in statement that Bobrisky dey undergo interrogation and dem go hand am over to appropriate authorities for further action.
This arrest come amid House of Representatives investigative hearing over leaked audio conversation where Bobrisky allege say him bribe EFCC officials with N15 million to drop money laundering charges against am. Him also claim say him spend six-month jail term in lodge instead of Kirikiri prison due to influence of godfather.
However, investigative panel say no evidence show say Bobrisky sleep outside prison during him six-month jail term. Executive Director and founder of Prisoners’ Rehabilitation and Welfare Action, Uju Agomoh, disclose dis while reading phase one report of panel at Ministry of Interior.
