Trump, wey be de Republican presidential nominee, claim say ’60 Minutes’ doctored Harris’ answer to a question about de Biden administration’s handling of de Israel-Gaza war.
’60 Minutes’ release a statement on Sunday to refute Trump’s claims, saying dat de accusations are false. Dey explain say dem give ‘Face the Nation‘ an excerpt of de interview dat use a longer section of Harris’ answer than what dem use on ’60 Minutes’. Dey say, “Same question. Same answer but a different portion of de response. When we edit any interview, whether a politician, an athlete, or movie star, we strive to be clear, accurate and on point. De portion of her answer on ’60 Minutes’ was more succinct, which allows time for other subjects in a wide-ranging 21-minute-long segment.”
Trump’s campaign no dey agree with dis explanation and dey release a statement saying dat ’60 Minutes’ essentially admit to editing Harris’ response to make her sound less incoherent. Dey call on ’60 Minutes’ to release de full transcript of de interview. However, CBS News no respond immediately to dis request, and dem ignore calls to release de transcript or de unedited footage since de controversy begin.
Trump also accuse ’60 Minutes’ of being biased and say he was right to decline deir invitation for an interview. He claim say his campaign was told his remarks would be fact-checked, which he no like. Trump still get an open invitation to appear on ’60 Minutes’ before de November 5 election.
