Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola don open up on why she no marry at 54. In an interview with Emmanuel Ehumadu, also known as Labista, on his Nollywood Hardcore show, Bimbo talk about her personal life and why she choose to stay single.
According to Bimbo, the person she wanted to marry don die. “The person I could have done forever with is gone,” she say. “Do you know how long it took me to find him?” She add that she no plan to walk down the aisle in the future because she no want it.
Bimbo also talk about societal pressure and how she no go let it push her into marriage. She say she no believe in getting married just for the sake of it, especially if the person no go be faithful to their vows. “I don’t believe in getting married just for the sake of it. If you’re not going to be faithful to your vows, then why do it?” she ask.
In the interview, Bimbo also reveal that she never date any actor because she no see them as “datable” individuals. She say she believe in being professional and no mix work with romance.
This no be the first time Bimbo talk about her decision to stay single. In 2015, she tell Vanguard Newspapers that she no need a husband and she no search for one. “I’m not looking for a husband and I don’t need one. I don’t need anything. I’m a complete person,” she say.
