FIFA don already reject LFP request for special permission to use international players for playoff. According to our sources, LFP ask FIFA on May 5 for exception, but FIFA say no on May 19. FIFA rules say clubs must release players for international duty from May 25, wey be day before first leg. Only European cup finals get exception.
OGC Nice now dey talk with different national federations one by one to beg dem to release dia players. But e no easy. Ivory Coast don agree to allow Elye Wahi play second leg, but Tunisia dey slow for Ali Abdi. Algeria ready to free Hicham Boudaoui, but only if all Nice international players get release. Ghana still dey decide for Kojo Oppong. Senegal get Antoine Mendy and Yehvann Diouf. Canada get Moise Bombito, Egypt get Mohamed Abdelmonem.
Saint-Etienne side also get problems. Ben Old from New Zealand, Augustine Boakye and Ebenezer Annan from Ghana fit miss playoff. Total of 12 players from both clubs fit be affected.
